Building a Better Future – A Message from Talking Rain’s CEO

Our hearts are heavy as we grieve the tragic deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and so many more. At Talking Rain, we value all individuals as equals, and we stand in solidarity against injustice, especially towards the Black community.

The heart and soul of Talking Rain has always been our employees and the communities we support, which is why our top priority is their safety and well-being. It’s our responsibility to create a safe space for our teammates to thrive. Over the past week, we’ve stepped back to listen to the important conversation happening. We’ve taken time to speak to employees across our organization, seek counsel from external professionals, and to reflect. We know we can do better.

We always strive to do what’s right. That’s why we’re taking purposeful steps to listen, learn, and do better as a company to support racial equity throughout our workplace and in our communities. This is my commitment to you. Here are some of the actions we’re taking:

  1. We are following the ongoing dialogue surrounding racial injustice.
  2. We are evaluating our current policies.
  3. We are evaluating additional training and education opportunities for our employees, including how to recognize unconscious bias.
  4. We are looking for opportunities to partner with non-profits that directly support the black community.

I’m incredibly proud of our employees for their willingness and commitment to build a better Talking Rain. Together, we’re getting better at getting better.

Very respectfully,

Chris Hall
