In 2020, Sparkling Ice created the Cheers to You program, a series of town beautification projects created to spread sparkle and cheer across America by partnering with small towns whose parks and recreational areas needed rebuilding, restoration or enhancements.
One of this year’s beautification projects took place in Biloxi, Mississippi. It’s been over 15 years since Hurricane Katrina, and the town of Biloxi is still recovering. The Sparkling Ice team wanted to help, so we funded two community gardens at St. Mary’s and Savarro Park. These new gardens will further beautify the parks and help to bring the town together to plant, seed, and tend to fresh flowers and herbs. The team also installed a new playground area for the community and local schools to enjoy.
The new gardens and park were unveiled to the town on Saturday, March 19th during a ribbon cutting ceremony led by Biloxi Mayor, Andrew “FoFo” Gilich. The Mayor surprised us by naming March 19th, 2022 as Sparkling Ice Day in Biloxi and presented our team with an official proclamation from the city.
We are so thrilled to give back to the city in this way, and we wish years of fun and enjoyment in this space for the community.
